I've been working on chapter VII, and you can watch the gradual
progress at

But in the past coupld of days I've gone back to revise chapter VI a
little bit.  Dave Turner sent me mail that said:

        I'm reading (slowly) your new chapter.

        What is the point of cutsorting?  It seems somewhat
        unmotivated and academic.

I thought he was right, so I went back and added a new section to
chapter VI, showing in more detail why cutsorting has practical value.

Chapters V and VI are going out to the official reviewers next week,
and my editor asked if there were any questions I wanted to put to the
reviewers.  There were, and I wrote them up.  I thought perhaps folks
on this list would be interested to see the sorts of things I think
about while writing the book.  The questions are at
