Online booksellers like Amazon and B&N will have it in another 1-3 weeks---sometimes it takes less, and sometimes it takes more. If you were waiting to order a copy until the book was actually available, you can order it now. I get an extra kickback if you order from http://perl.plover.com/hop/ORDER.html MAILING LIST ************ I said in my previous message that this would be the last message I would send to the list. I realized that was not quite right. I will send another announcement later, when the text of the book becomes available online. If there are translations into other languages, or other news, I will post about it here. If you're interested in hearing about the status of my other books, please send a note to mjd-books-subscribe@plover.com Either way, thank you for your continued interest. WEB SITE ******** Over the past few weeks I have added a lot of material to the web site: * Some brief advance reviews are available at http://perl.plover.com/hop/reviews.html * You can download or search the index at http://perl.plover.com/hop/index/ * The example programs from the book are available at http://perl.plover.com/hop/Examples/ although they are still rather disorganized. * I have an errata page up, although it doesn't yet have any errata on it. SIGNED COPIES ************* A number of people havbe asked how they might obtain signed copies. One way, of course, is to accost me on the street. But some people want to fo it by mail. The problem with mail is that it is expensive for you because the book must be shipped twice, and inconvenient for me, since I have to lug the signed books to the post office. So I offer this alternative: I am having cool-looking bookplates printed. These are illustrated plates with a sticky backing that you can paste into the front cover of your book. You can send me a SASE, and I will return a signed bookplate to you. See http://perl.plover.com/hop/bookplates.html for complete details. THANKS ****** Thanks again for your patience and continued interest. This project has taken a awfully long time, and it has always been comforting to know that so many people were interested in the result.
